Mods, please can you make this a sticky for a week?

Right so far the list for RV8 application is as follows:

1 thenick
2 TVRleigh(BBWR)
3 wildcard500
4 Ballistic Banana

This is a bit short of the 20 who showed initial interest! The pricing for said system is as follows:

Kit:
- ECU (K3 model) inlcuding PC serial coms lead, operator's manual, software & maps

- Flying loom - ecu plug with all wires attached, open ends for sensor plugs.
(this means a custom built loom with open ends to attach to your existing sensors)
- Trigger wheel kit - consisting of:
=crank sensor & connector
=x2 sets coil packs & connectors
=x2 sets 4 HT leads
=twin coil pack bracket
=crank sensor bracket
=V8 trigger wheel & spacer kit - 6 hole pulleys

- Wideband Lambda sensor & controller

- RR session (this is a full setup of 3 maps tailored for your engine) - I am inclined to drop this from the list and therefore remover £275 from the price so that people can get it mapped as and when unless popular demand says otherwise?

- shipping

Emerald total kit price at retail = £1568.57 including VAT
Group buy total kit price = £1333.29 including VAT if there are 10 or more orders. If it works out to be fewer people we can adjust the price a little but still give a reasonable discount. (This would be around £1050 without RR session)

So those are the figures, we really need 10 orders to make this work so if you're seriously interested please get your name down as I will be looking to make the order within the next week or so. Some have said they would prefer not to have various bits of the kit but we cannot have each member of the group buy ordering different parts as it will screw up the discount. So we either go for everything, everything bar the RR, just the ECU and custom loom, or just the ECU. I reckon we can do everything bar the RR for £1050, possibly even £1k at a push (though this would likely require 11-12 orders...

So last chance, if you want one, get your name down asap!

Here are links to the brochure and manual if you need a bit more swaying:

Dose the system quoted do away with the AFM, and replace with a MAP Sensor.

Dont know how my name got on the full list?

But will deffiantly just have the ECU if you go that option and still get a discount

I was and have asked if you can give me a price on the Ecu ( its loom) and the trigger wheel and bracket) but see its gonna be hard to split things. I haev some parts allready hence not wanting the full package

Cheers

Ah sorry Simon! I just scanned through the other thread and saw you had registered interest. I've been pretty busy so haven't had a chance to read it all in great detail for a few days. That's fine if you just want those parts, but we'll have to check what everyone wants just before the order is made. If the majority of people just want the ECU and a couple of bits then we'll just do that - it seems to be heading that way anyway tbh..

What is the cost going to be for just the ECU/COMMs Lead/Software and the ECU Loom. Excluding the Coils/ Crank Sensor / Coil Packs

Hi Nick,
As said I would only be interested in the ECU only. Hope this is ok.

Also will be interested in a ECU for a cossi 2.9 v6

I think the best way to get as many buyers as posible would be to have 3 options.
1 just ECU (you can then order any other parts you want) i.e. loom etc.
2 Full kit with out RR
3 Full Kit inc RR.

This is true, but the issue is that all the other bits are also discounted on a numbers basis, so to get the price stated, we need at least 10 orders of everything or the overall price goes up. Doing 5 ECUs and 5 full packs means the full packs go up in price, though I am unsure how much. This is why I would rather have at least 10 orders for the full kit, and then i'd be much happier adding standalone ECUs on as well..!

Fair point but it look like you only have 2-3 people who want the full kit, but about 10 who would buy just the ECU.

So you may not get the kit at the price you 1st hoped, but the extra buying power of just ECU's could help with some buying power.

I know you have put a lot of work into this and its a shame so many people have pulled out.

I'm not sure folk have 'pulled out' as such.. I think some are just waiting to see how it shapes up in the final form. I'd prefer to go for the ECU and loom but maybe do my own thing on the rest of the stuff, but do think it's a good deal and might yet opt in to the full monty if one more makes the difference. It was always going to be a toughie to spec a package for all and you can't blame peeps for weighing up their preferences. Fair play for putting the thing together

Cheers mate! Obviously if we can't get 10 full monty packages then its going to have to be ECU's and looms at a reduced discount but if its possible then thats what i'm shooting for. I know the guys at Emerald spent quite a bit of time sorting out the package and doing deals with companies for each part on the list. I would feel a bit bad by then saying to them that we don't want any of that and have wasted their time, though if thats what happens then c'est la vie! We have a few wanting full monty's so far though (6 I think), so with a bit of luck we can do 10 of them and then a couple of ECU's and looms and everyone will be happy.

Right think thats about all we're going to get, just to be sure I shall make the deadline Sunday 7th to get your name down. I will compile a list of exactly what we want to order and try and standardise it as much as possible to be passed on to Dave. I'll then ring him on Monday 8th to check everything's ok then you can ring up and confirm your order & pay from then on - so if you want a kit, speak now or forever hold your peace!
