Very quick question for everyone: I am considering having Paintshield applied to my Sagaris and am weighing up the pro's (no stone chips) and con's (lines at the film edges) and don't know what to do......Any advice?

Paintsheild stuff is pretty good if the bodywork is mint to start off with. Avoid lines by going for the full coverage version. Pricey though! I had a quote for my Cerb and they were charging £900ish quid +vat! (I weighed up my options, and would rather put the money on a respray when the time comes for that sort of dosh).smile

Had the full kit on the Tuscan and it was much less than that. Very pleased with the result.

How obvious the 'edge' is depends on the colour of your car. It shows up more on dark colours than light ones for obvious reasons.

1st Griff to have Paintshield and its been very good. On a light car with flip paint (£5k resparay) so was worth it - got a fair few chips on the bonnet now so dread to think what the front end would have been like after 20k miles!

What was the damage (£££s), FFG? (If you don't mind me asking)

I've had the nose of my Griff protected with "Armourfend". I'm very pleased with it, and it's great being able to drive the car without having to worry about the nose getting chipped again. http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t=428969&r=6090056&hm=43027#6090056

From memory around £500 but that included pieces behind the arches, inside the door jam, thicker pieces on the perspex light covers, obviously the front end. I got a better deal as I helped design the pieces with them as they hadn't done a Griff before. Made sure the finish lined up with the natural line of the front end - often you see the finish of the protection half way up which makes it more obvious. Many people don't even realise we've got it on.
