Just in the process of having a new windscreen fitted in the Chimaera and the glass hasn't been a problem at all but I've had a call saying they are having a problem sourcing a new rubber trim for the top/sides, and bottom.
After going to the trouble to have a screen fitted I don't really want to ruin the new look by fitting the tatty old trim back.
So anyone bought one of these recently, any ideas where to try for one, I've had a look on all the usual suspects websites, clevertrever, tvrcarparts, tried my local dealer but not having any luck. frown

I think you'll be fitting the old one from what I've heard.
Maybe Multipart will be able to help once they're up and running biggrin

When mine was done in June, the old ones were re-used, without a problem as new ones couldn't be found.

Has anyone tried C O H Baines in Tunbridge Wells? They do masses of automotive rubber trims.

They may even be able to get some made up.

Colin at Automedon who fitted them at the factory for a while, recommends reusing old trims. Did so on my Griff, and no problems.

Call John at David Gerald. 01386 793237. They sell it by the metre and for a Chim you'll need 3m. About £36.00 + VAT

Trouble is it's in straight lengths so you may have difficulties getting it round the top corners without kinking. Hmmmm, maybe if it was heated it would stretch round better. Anyone had any experience of doing this? Clever Trevor used to have the moulded bits to fit - but no more I think. Nick.
