I am after a Ginetta G4 Couple by DARE that has a long cockpit and a 2lt engine. Been looking for ages.

Too late - finances were desperate a while back and G4 man may have been tempted - but things have improved again - sorry!!

Glad that he was not forced to sell when he didn't want to.

But if G4man is tempted then I would be interested....

I'm looking hard too. It IS hard - well, to find the right one.

If only the white one had a double hump bonnet and was a closed car instead of open I would be there now! Rest of spec is what I'd like, 2-litre Zetec etc, it all sounds about right and of course it has a G4 reg like Dave's. Suppose I could get new doub-hump bonnet.

anyone actually know this car? (apart from the owner of course!)

Silver one at Paul Stephens would be fine but already it's a 2 owner car and 'red' interior(ugh!) and 15 grand, not surprised it's been for sale for a while.

Outside chance of a DZ now (which I preferred at one point but now nostalgia is well and truly 'in'!!)

I suppose beggars can't be choosers...

I agree the Silver one is not the spec I would like and if only the white one was a coupe I would have gone and had a look.

if u really want one, maybe best to get a convertible and get a hard top fitted by DARE..? The white one is a nice car, think it was in a feature in practical classics couple yrs ago
The one i got recently is great but it does have 1800 not 2000 engine, but it was stil a great buy..

The advert for the White car has gone..... Has it been sold? or just been there to long and been removed?

Bugger! I was just thinking of making an offer if he was desperate to sell biggrin

Interesting, Keith Elliot in Herts owned the car first and was GOC member - he had the G4 registration, and J Tate seems to have bought the car about a year ago? Wonder if he has actually sold it? If you are reading this Mr (Mrs or Miss!) Tate and still have it for sale let me know!

I know I should know this:
this particular convertible G4 is a 'long chassis' G4 -
is this the same as a long cockpit G4?
(or is it what I think a long wheelbase?) -
chrise, even I'm getting confused now! laugh

Somebody list the correct options please. And no mocking!!!
One minute I'm told I won't fit a 'normal' Dare G4 cos I'm 6ft 1, but I drove the R reg press car for hundreds of miles with NO problem.

im 6 foot tall. i fit in the short wheel base g4 no problem, loads of headroom , but i find knees are a little too bent for my liking.
the white car is long wheel-base (ie longer in the chassis by 7cm) and will be more leg room for u
