Maserati Quattroporte GT S

Details of the new Maserati from the Frankfurt Motor Show

Maserati have released their new Quattroporte GT S in Frankfurt. It features a 400bhp V8, Brembo-developed brakes and new springs and dampers to reduce body roll. Maserati are aiming for a racing theme to this release, because it is the golden jubilee year of Juan Manuel Fangio winning the World Championship in a Maserati 250F.

New tyres have been developed for this car, to fit over the seven-spoke 19" alloys. The sport-themed interior has an extensive list of customisation options. Unfortunately there is no news as to when it will be available, or how much it will cost.

I'm confused aren't those pictures of the new GT coupe not the quattroporte?

Indeed, they look more like deuxportes.

The black one is the Quattroporte and the silver is the Coupe.

The clue is in the number of doors. wink

Every new car seems to have specially developed tyres now...wonder how long pirelli et el will actually continue making them after the car goes out of production, and how different they really are?

yes Me too.
Furthermore, taking the standard quattroporte and looking how blandish it can look in pictures versus how utterly gorgeous it looks in the flesh I can'twait to see it.

If they'd given it a 500bhp motor it would make more sense for me in a world where the standard M5 has that much oomph. Still, it is gorgeous though. If only I didn't have to see Jamie Oliver in one every now and again, rather ruins the image for me (cor blimey me old china, love a duck...etc).

The Quattroporte looks nice, but the coupe looks a bit chubby to have two doors, didn't look that great next to the Aston in Evo.

Noticed the same thing myself and also I wonder how fast the design will age, the Aston is far from new but still looks perfect.

I'd agree about the Aston but like the Quattroporte, the coupe looks much better in the flesh.

Has anyone ever actually turned down buying a car because of a minor celeb owning one?
