SPEEDO OK BUT MILEOMETER NOT!

Hi guys, my speedo on my S3 is working fine but the mileometer isn't clocking up the miles. I've tried the tapping thing and driving down a cobbled street to see if it can be shaken back to life but no joy! Are there any cables behind the clock that I can mess with or any other thoughts would be appreciated!

Connom fault.

Tap the screen at speed and it might trip over for a while. If it's S2 onwards it's electronic so nothing to fiddle with. Helps with limited mileage policies!!

It's no problem to replace the electro-mechanical counter, you can get the counter from Trumeter (http://www.trumeter.com/Home.php?class=Process+Control+%26+Instrumentation&app=Totalising+Counters&item=4K07-20&lang=English) it cost around £10-15 and it takes a half day to do the work (get the speedometer out/in and replace the counter). The only drawback is that the last digit isn't red
