Great fun and practical cars. Some of the trim might be getting a bit rattly now but so be it. Listen out for clonks and knocks from the front end. Usually front bottom arm bushes or anti roll bar mounts. Check all dashboard lights go out quickly on start up. Ask when cambelt was last done (if not in last 3 years/36,000 miles) get it done ASAP with it's associated tensioners, pulleys and variator. Check radiator is still in one piece and the box of relays next to the battery isn't a mass of corroding fungus. The seating position is erm... "characterful" and you feel a bit perched up which then makes you feel like you have loads of body roll. See if you can run to a Cloverleaf. They really go well and you get bigger brakes and quick rack steering which I don't think they put on the 1.6. Just over two turns lock to lock so you'll soon know! All 145s should come with two red keys and one brown "master" key. Check the brown one is present and belongs to the car! Good luck. Check out www.alfa145.co.uk for more help!
