Ok my first problem, gonna have some fun with this car and looking forward to it! rofl

I pulled the door handle this evening and 'twang' the door handle went limp on me! hehe Basically, the interior handle has disconnected from the cable/rod (I presume) that connects it to the lock.

Second small problem is that the door rattles, at first I thought it was the window, but on closer inspection it seems that the rubber that surrounds the locking pin on the door frame, has perished and it is this that is causing the rattle. Any solutions for this? ie. where can I get the rubber that goes around the post? (as the actress said to the bishop!) getmecoat

Quite good with the tool set...any ideas?

Do you know how to get the door card off?

Get one from a Noble dealer? I doubt if they are bespoke but don't know what they came off.

My car doesn't have any "rubber" around that post. when my door started to rattle I adjusted the post. It is a small post in a big hole with large washers either side of the hole so when you loosen the post it will move in any direction, loosen the post slightly and move it a small amount tighten and try till you get it right.
Alternativly you could get some cable shrink wrap cut to length, once you have it over the the end of the post heat it and shrink it on.If it's still too loose put on another piece.

Shouldn't have to remove door card. Just unscrew the door handle plate and you should be able to lever the mechanism back onto the handle. 5 min job. Happened to me about 10 days ago. If this dosn't work - then it is a case of removing panel.

I asked because I thought you had to do it to get to the mechanism, and for me it's impossible to get my arm far enough into the speaker hole to undo the last wing-nut...have to get the boy to do it. rolleyes

All sorted, had to take the panel off to gain access to it! biggrin

Sorted out the door, now perfect! What a refreshing change....move a bolt here and there, take a panel off etc no ridiculously placed screws or unusual tools required!

I felt as though I was working on my first car (nice Capri 2.0GL), easy to work on. cool

Thanks for the help! clap
