The kind and curtious gentleman that is Woolleson, allowed me to take the controls of his lovely facelift 4.0 Chimaera last sunday to take us both upto the Harewood TVR Speed Championship on what was the perfect day for Tivving

I was a bit apprehensive at first with it not being my car and I didnt know how it would handle, but once we set off all was well

I was surprised in every aspect from the way she sounded (sleeved exhaust!!) the way she went, the way she drove and at how at home I felt when driving such a machine

Ive been obcessed by TVR's for some time, but now, my life will not be complete until the day that I get my arse into one of Blackpools finest and go hooning around the countryside with a smile permanantly etched on my much like a mental patient whos escaped the laughing accademy with an excessive stock of LSD and Porscupine Tree in his head

I really owe Mr Woolleson one for allowing me to fullfill another life ambition bow

And yes, the TVR coathanger smile is constantly stuck on my boat-race laugh

thumbup Cheers Woolly

Nice one Scot (and Woolly)

As far as I can make out, there are only three cars in the world (available to mere mortals that is) that can top it ... your first Ferrari, first air cooled 911, and first Lamborghini.

Two I can vouch personally for, the third I'll have to wait and see smile

That's the beginning of the end Scott!

So, why didn't you come and say hello, we don't bite in the paddock? biggrin

See you on a circuit soon then? yes

Actually Al, your words have rattled something loose in my tiny male mind and now Im starting to see the appeal with italian cars (an unhealthy obcession if ever there was one!)

I do aim to own a Ferrari in my lifetime, albeit an older/cheaper one and even if its for 6 months, I'll do it!!

I would like to own a Porsche for a short time, but I love the 928S4

Lambo's are, well, Lambos

Right testicle may go on the block to own one wink

TVR is still my destiny and one that I cannot deny!

Tim - I did pop up to say hello, but you werent about!

I actually saw a bloke in racing getup floating about the Cerbie when I took some shots and asked him if he was you, but it turns out it was John Cucci laugh

Felt a right tit I did!

PMSL, the idea of John Cucci floating about laugh

His Griff was tucked in next to mine in the paddock, you could have followed the noise of tw screaming kids, I would have been with them. biggrin See, you can mix family and racing. wink

On the racing front, Im currently playing with the idea of me and two friends buying a car and nailing it at various hillclimb/sprints so maybe I will get to race next year

The upside is, if I dont get to race, I can spend a bit more on camera stuff laugh

Howdo Sen18 long time no see, good to see you're well!

Every day that goes by might irretrievable, but the suspense it builds is insurmountable until the day I realise my dream

The best things come to he who waits

In my case, Ive got no sodding choice rofl
