LSD on R56 cooper s
Discussion
definitely someone on here has.
search for mini and trackday or something..
there's a guy who posted saying him and his brother had both just got turbo mcs' and tracked them. i am sure he said at least one of them had a slippery diff.
on the r53 it makes a difference - not huge but it does make a difference.

For the sake of £100-150 why not just have it? All you'll find on here is speculation and opinion. I had a look and even posted a topic on mini2.com which didn't really come out definitively.
Chances are it won't make the ride any worse and, in theory, it should improve things out of tighter corners. Your real conundrum is whether to have the sports suspension...
I'm just waiting until I decide whether to move jobs before I order. And I think I'll have both.

i've decided to go for both sports suspension and lsd. Both of these should be standard in my opinion. I have been doing a lot of reading up with regards to the new "S" and it seems to be out performing the cars supposed performance figures! 0-60 in a shade under 7 secs and on to 100 in just under 17 secs.
We have sport sus and LSD on our R56 mcs......
Sport suspension isnt to harsh around our roads in Lincolnshire....but can get a little harsh on poor roads. Carnt say Ive noticed the LSD to much, a few times pulling out of junctions in damp conditions you can feel it pulling you away clean without spinning the inside wheel. It does pull out of corners very well, but any MCS does that! We are planning to take it on Cadwell soon so hopefully a chance to use it. The demo MCS we drove before getting ours didnt have an LSD an seemed to suffer from torque steer more than ours. Carnt say ours suffers from "tram-lining" like I remember the demo did either, but I suppose that could be down to tyre pressures just as much.
