Windows Technical Support Consultant – Surrey – Windows / Infrastructure Support

As a result of our continued success we are looking for a Technical Support Consultant to join our Technical Team based in Surrey on a permanent basis. Working in a challenging and stimulating environment, you will be involved in the support, maintenance and ongoing improvement of the Windows infrastructure, including Support of Windows server 2000/2003, Active Directory Group Policy Objects, MS Exchange server 2003 and IIS, including the application of security patches and anti-virus management, Mail and Web filtering software. Support of XP desktop including software installations, builds and troubleshooting. The role is predominantly 2nd/3rd level support, with scope to learn and work in other aspects of the environment (network, Linux etc) if of interest to the right candidate.
You will have a strong academic background combined with a good knowledge of Exchange, Active Directory and Windows XP/2003. MCSE certifications are desirable but not essential. You will be working closely with other members of the Technical Team and therefore strong communication and team working skills are essential. Other IT skills such as, Linux, UNIX, Scripting, Networking would be advantageous, but not essential.
Experience of FileNet and Oracle DBA will be advantageous.
You will work on a variety of internal projects and will have the opportunity to work on our external client systems.
