Hi all,
I have neglected my P&J for 6 months after moving house and last weekend decided to give her a bit of TLC. So washed and polished with AutoGlym, I have used this for all my cars but I have noticed that the finish esp on the bonnet isn't that good. I can see what looks to be dirt trapped between polish and paint and in certain light the paint looks dull and faded. Can anyone recommend a good cleaner and polish ? I was looking at Meguiars clay and wax has anyone experience of these products ?

Megs clay would indeed be a good start as would a good wash with something like Fairy Liquid in order to completely strip all of the old waxes that seem to hazing now (the clay will remove stubborn contaminants such as tar etc..) and 'start afresh'.
Have you considered a professional machine polish, even ?

Agree!And if you'd come to S Club, you could have seen it in action!. Thoroughly recommend this stuff!

Thanks everyone esp the links to the detailers and product sites. I would have liked to have gone to S club this year but work got in the way. I promise to try harder next year. For anyone interested there are a lot of cheap microfibre cloths on ebay for all you polishers out there. I think I'll experiment with the Maguires clay kit and 3 step wash/polish and see what difference it makes.
