0-60 mph

Currently at work and can't really concentrate on it, I'm thinking could the Ultima GTR's 0-60mph time be improved to possible 2.4 or 2.5 from its current 2.6. If it has the Kumho Ecsta, and Dymag Carbon Fibre/Mag wheels? Will the grippier tires and lighter wheels propel the GTR to the mid or low 2s?

I don't know, that will be super fast
by the way, I've seen some testers of fast cars getting the fastest times when they start in second gear that way they don't need to change gear and such fast car has power enough to do so...but watch the clutch good luck.

For another purpose, I had the need to write Richard recently to set the record straight on the Ultima's WRs. If you read his entire, unedited response, you'll learn that the records were made on ordinary street tires. So one would only assume that stickier tires would help improve the performance, given that the other variables are the same.

Our 0-60mph, 0-100mph, 100mph-0, 0-150 mph etc etc world record times were definitely not recorded at a drag strip, as otherwise they wouldn't have qualified as official verified road car world records. They were achieved at official vehicle testing stations called MIRA and Millbrook in the UK where all road cars are officially figured. (www.mira.co.uk and www.milllbrook.co.uk)
All of our world records had an official guiness book of records timekeeper present whom ensured that the test was conducted independently in a fair and proper manner.

Incidentally having had a brief look at the GTM article in Car and Driver magazine, I noticed that it stated that the GTM was fitted with what was described in the article as "grippy DOT race tyres". These would have been prohibited for any official road car world record performance and lateral g runs as they are considered unfair by the timekeepers.
