after putting up about the petrol smell from the m12 in the garage ive since then disconnected the battery taken plugs and leads off to renew and hey presto not a hint of any petrol smells at all. why?

Not a clue mate - but my previous 3R filled the garage with the smell of petrol no matter what I did (adjusting filler cap etc) The M400, no problems scratchchin It seems some do and some don't...just like girls I suppose tumbleweed

mine pongs the garage out from time to time - and then doesn't smell for ages ?

I can only guess its due to a change in the barometric pressure lets the fumes escape confused

bet its the non return valve thingy in the overflow pipe, bet it's to low, raise it up and the smell will go, it's inside the nearside arch liner, you'll need to replace the overflow hose as you'll be making it to short.

ahh funny you should say that ive got that pipe strapped up out of the way nice one adrian
