Replacing Engine with a 800 HP LS7....Straightforward???

Can anyone tell me how "straightforward" it would be to replace say a 5.7 American speed engine with a new LS7 (800bhp)
ie. Would the 6 speed existing Gearbox be "up to the job",
what other bits would need replacing/upgrading,etc,etc.

Hi Steve

If your car has a Getrag 6 speed then "no" as the LS7 only works with a G50. The starter needs to be on the gearbox side, due to the exhaust! If you are talking about the American Speed LS7 then it will be ready to fit and the Factory will be able to assist with all parts needed. Just depends on how much you want to spend. The fuel system would also need upgrading as you will be dealing with high pressure.
