Have been reading a few books on the history of TVR and the reg no. "TVR 100" appears quite frequently, especially on the Wedge series. Anyone know if this bit of TVR history is still about?

There was a thread a couple of years ago when NS sold it off. I thought one of the dealers bought it?

Owned by John Kent who sold it to PRW, used on most press cars, sold to a dealer by NS - Mole Valley I think who also had 100 TVR.

It was used prior to PRW ownership, having appeared on the black roadtest 3000S Turbo and early Tasmins.

TVR22 was also used during the 70's and 80's by the factory, then became acquired by Stewart Halstead/Carole Newton, and subsequently got sold on. It now is on a yellow Griff 500 that we use to own.

In the TVR 450SE/TVR S2 promtional video, yes they did shoot one and it's very cheesy, the 450SE wore TVR100 and the S2 wore TVR101 (which nobody can substantiate as being a real released number, so it was probably made up for the video)

TVR100 has also existed on multiple cars at once, as people have been known to visit the factory and seen it on more than one vehicle during their visit!!

It's use fell into decline when TVR purchased S6TVR

Dead cool if VR are your initials, a pointless pain if you're going to push them together to make the plate illegal - lots of money to spend to risk loosing the plate to the DVLA...

Well, according the the RAC website:
100TVR is currently on a 1999 BENTLEY CONTINENTAL R
TVR100 is currently on a 2006 GRAND CHEROKEE SRT-8 A
7VR is currently on a 2005 MERCEDES SL 350 AUTO

Shame none of these plates are no longer on "proper" cars (TVR's)

smile

Edited to say simply add your reg number here to find out what car its on:

To my knowledge it is now owned by Mole Valley. Not certain about this but I seem to remember them running 2 smart cars with TVR100 and 100 TVR on them.
