Although ... I have just spoken to Seacat about their regulations on carrying Gas for camping equipment and they tell me that it is not permitted at all... On any of the crossings including ferries.

So unless I can heat a frying pan up on the disposable barbecue we are a bit scuppered for a fry up.

I don't suppose anyone knows somewhere to rent a Gas cylinder near Le Mans ?

Tedebear, hopefully I will bump into you there ... We are staying in Houx.

You should check with them again. Can't be right.
What would all the numpty shed-pullers do?
You might find there is a limit to how much you can take on board though, we were on the shuttle last week and there was a weight limit of gas you could carry.

Breakfast at yours then CZ's?

Because if I hadn't come up with that plan I would never have persuaded him to take me along. all good wifeys know the way to their mans heart. And before you ask I didn't just promise cooking.

Just bury the bottle in the bottom of the boot. It is what a gazillion other people would most likely do. Just claim ignorance and drive on. If the ship blows up in flames, they'll never be able to identify your gaz bottle to be the one who started it anyway...

Any chance you could have a word with Miss Buffalo - i like your logic, re: cooking and (ahem) to get a ticket..! Sadly i couldn't pursuade her...

The Carzee's is repeat thread shock.........

www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=31448&f=25&h=0

As ever racegirl is navigator, cook (well all cooking not involving burning meet on the BBQ, because thats mans work), and general campsite entertainment

Can't see what the fuss is about the gas, as we've just booked one of our works trucks on to a Isle of White ferry carrying cutting gas and refrigerant gas

Hundreds of caravans, motorhomes and campers go through the ferries every day and I've never seen anyone questioned about whether they are carrying gas cannisters.

Brittany Ferries state that you should have no more than 3 x 15kg bottles.

Hi Mrs CarZee - we're in expo - look out for the Throbnozzle Racing Camp and my little red MG Midget, the other half has a TVR Vixen!! I'm going to hide our gas bottle under the blanket in the boot of my car - its my first time - but the rest of the crew have taken gas bottle with them before no worries...
