Ah yes, I remember you too. Just the one person in the XK8 and two of you in the Golf? Didn't the golf have some stickers on?
I think I spent long enough in that Jam to memorise every car. We were having a laugh but quite a lot of others we passed looked seriously cheesed off. Had time to make and eat cheese and ham baguettes. Shame we didn't have that weather for the preceding 5 days, I kept trying to put the windows up and the aircon on , but my passenger was so worried about the fuel bill they kept turning it off.

yep, I had a few small stickers, not quite in your league tho'!
my mate's co-driver in the XK8 had to pull-out at the last minute. The toll Gate's were a bit of a bind for him in a RHD car !
My '96 Golf has no air-con ,so with the big VR 'Engine heat sink effect'and the hot sun , we were well and truly cooked too!
There was an old blue Marcos coupe that looked like it's engine was going to give up the ghost as well.
As you say , we needed that weather to start at least the Wednesday before ....Ah well roll on 2008
