Going on the past two days, i don't
In hindsight it probably wasn't the best idea, but i'm sure it'll pay off
That's an interesting way to do it! Good luck to you, but it'll make for an 'interesting' CV!
From a fairly basic support type role straight into advanced network consultancy.
Don't want to sound critical (wish I'd done my CCIE when I had the opportunity) and obviously I've assumed a lot about your experience, but I'd be interested to know how you decided to do what you're doing, and what you've done previously - mostly out of curiousity.
If you'd rather not, then that's perfectly understandable!
I've got background in Cisco and VMWare, so the thinking was, get some proper qualifications and then start lloking for a job.
Because the CCIE isn't mickey mouse it will help when applying for jobs, it's not like an MCSE or some other pay and play title.
The drive for doing it? Basically it comes from seeing how my father got on in the industry and it's something i'd like to follow, although without his help i don't think i'll make it to CEO of DB.
