I hate to winge but due to Noble concentrating all of their efforts on the new car and the apparent loss of the incredibly efficient in house parts man Bill we have to now purchase parts through the dealer network.
Not one to mention names but of the two dealers in the South one has a parts department open for 2 hours a day and you end up leaving 2 messages over 2 days and they don't bother to call you back and the other one quoted me more than £80.00 more than Noble did on the same parts only two weeks ago!
I personally do not want to spend another £80 on top of the £300 I was already spending just to speak to some t
t who thinks he's posh because he works in a car garage with a posh name.
Come on Noble start supplying us parts again if staff is an issue I own a recruitment company and I'm happy to give you someone for free!!!!!!!

Maybe the factory should set the price....
If you want to sell our parts, you sell them for £x type of deal.
The dealers really need to be consistent, or they will end up competing with each other.
... or is that illegal ! ?

I agree entirely, I made the same point on a post a few weeks back how things have changed dramatically just over the two years I have had my car, I bought my car second hand but with still 3 months factory warranty to run & then found the factory to be very helpful. As things are now this is not the best way to keep loyalty from people who bought Noble cars in the past, perhaps based on the old good service & customer care which now sadly seems to be non existent.

Christ, let's form "club" (eg: £1,000 joining fee per member and £500 per annum thereafter)) and buy up all available Noble parts for exclusive supply to round one founding club members at cost + stocking (and non-members cost + a margin). If/when you leave the club you get your original stake back less op costs and parts purchased from round two of new membership funding...

Am I right in thinking that every car manufacture sets a price for their parts so if you buy from them directly they make the profit and in the instance of a dealer franchise they would sell to them at a trade price usually in the region of 20 - 25% then the franchised dealer makes their money on selling the part at the rrp. Much the same as most retail businesses operate. After speaking to Noble parts person from a dealer up north he told me that the price he was quoting was 5% less than Noble are quoting general public. I do understand that the dealer network won't be supplying parts for the love of it after all everyone has to earn money but someone should be setting an rrp or Noble should be either giving a discount to let the dealers make money or just employ another parts person the current situation is a joke. Anyway i'm off up north to order my parts !
As soon as that letter was published you would have to be an idiot if you didnt think parts prices were going to increase, the dealers need to make a margin out of something and they are not selling new cars.
I may have found the biggest rip-off yet though :- Handrake shoes, £5.00 part, I expected a painfull £20.00...............nope £72.00 +vat each.
They are taking the piss and they will continue to, as "loyal customers" we will pay the prices because we have nowhere else to go.

Are there alternative parts/suppliers?

If so, get them elsewhere and Kerridges et al.
Really annoys when people take the piss like that.
I'd also stop using them for servicing and giving them good reviews - maybe they'll start wondering why they're so quiet. Or maybe they don't make enough out of Noble owners to bother them either way.

Seriously though, we can help ourselves with many parts by continuously updating into the FAQ Wiki. As each of us dig around and find parts we can log the supplier/part no/price.

This is where a "working" owners club would be very useful. Group buys, etc.
Also having a private forum to share parts cost etc, without the worry of the naming and shaming rules of PH.
