A question about Bovs.
Discussion
On my previous 3R I had fitted a Faulks Performance BOV. The difference before and after was astonishing, in pick up etc, and the noise wasn't too bad either,a bit off a 'pop' type. Today on my M400 I've had fitted a Forge Motorsport one. I can't notice any difference in pick up at all, and the noise is worse than the most chavved chavmoblie at a chavfest, like a flat cymbol (spell?)being hit, frankly horrid. Now am I being a silly bugga and, in fact its me thats the problem because someone is going to tell me that FP one and the Forge are the same( although the Forge looks bigger by memory),and if so would there be a reason that the difference can't be felt on the new car?

Somebody tell me what a BOV is please ?
What does it do?

BOV - Blow Off Valve, or Dump Valve is another term for it.What does it do?

It vents excess air pressure on the inlet side instead of the turbo wastegate opening which can cause the turbo to stall when it closes again. And it makes a "per-chuuuu" noise when you change gear.

I personally didnt notice any difference on my 3R after fitting Noblemods BOV
Might be worth checking yours as there was a real difference when my 3R one was fitted, virtually like a power upgrade.Gassing Station | Noble | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
