so during my visit to the uk i have found a car and made a deal, yipeeee! its gonna take a few weeks for me to pick it up but it looks like i am finally an owner at last.

i found the car on the classified here
this one in fact
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/172344.htm

hope nobody tells me it was a bad car lol as it seemed pretty good to me.

the seller is going to have the usual mark on the drivers bolster caused by seat belt touched up
serviced at plans and during the service a slight idle fluctuation sorted out so cant say fairer than that really.

i have noticed the car has been touched by vegantune as it has their sill protectors on it, a hardpipe for BOV labelled vegantune and a BOV which i presume is also theirs, also the exhaust is definatly not standard, i am not sure who makes it, would love to know, am guessing it was all done at the same time by vegantune.

anybody know this car perhap?

any tips would be appreciated,

chippie

Congratulations Sean. Shame my car wasnt sorted out in time. Still having its manifold sorted frown Looks like a nice car, like the anthrecite wheels and if it has an upgraded exhaust it sounds good for the cash!

cheers guys, one thing i am not sure about is there is slight heat mark on the rear clam just over the left exhaust, the other side is clean. is this normal as it obviously gets hot there.

my evos and skylines were allway heat marked there as they were forever doing childish pops and bangs lol.

just a bit suprised to see it on one side thats all.

also is it worth bringing the air filters forward or leaving them in the standard position?

Do you mean just over the exit pipe or somewhere else?

Being a KX it's almost certainly a Mole Valley car.

mine has two heat marks on the diffuser. i just bought some gaskets and moved them up a bit. looking at your motor it looks like teh outlets are pretty large (non std)and may need tweaking too

yes i do mean over the exit pipe, only on the left side though, the exhaust isnt standard, it i sstainless and much loader than others i saw when looking, have no idea on the make, it doesnt look roush as i compared it to the pics on the wiki thingy.

i am guessing vegantune as the car obviously had a trip there at somepoint for sills and bov etc, might try and contact previous owner and ask if he knows.

it is getting sent to plans next week for a full service so i reckon they would pick up on if anything is required

Hello Sean,

Flicking through PH saw my car, thought i would join PH so that i could give you a bit of the history behind it.
Bought the car through Nick Whale (Birmingham) - Bad experiance - subsequently they lost the dealership.
Did not use the car enough (1700 miles) so sold it through Kerridges . Immaculate when i sold , no marks scratches anywhere.
Only problem i had was a faulty ECU.
Will try and answer any questions when i have a moment.

I'm pretty sure that is a Roush exhaust. Looks like one from inside and out in the pictures. If the tail pipes are flat at the top it is most likely a Roush, however I can't see that in the pictures.

Nice looking car though thumbup

thanks very much for that mate, i had spotted it was sold through kerridges, i assume the faulty ecu got fixed ok?

the car is still very clean and tidy with only 15k on the clock, still trying to find out what exhaust is fitted, dont suppose you know by any chance?
