Ace Combat 6 (and other forthcoming titles!)

I downloaded and played the demo last night - what fun!

I think this will be great in multi-player with 16 jets blasting through the (very high detailed) sky and landscapes. The controls are easy and the cockpit view is great as you get a realistic "Look around" function for that mid-dog-fight-head-turning-Topgun-style frantic action.

Word for the wise, if you want to dogfight for longer in the demo, don't smite your objectives straight away as it forces a cut-scene which foreshortens the whole thing.

As an aside, this is shaping up to be quite a good latter half of the year for 360 gaming:

Yeah, the Ace Combat demo is superb fun. Never played an arcade flight/combat game before. the dogfghts are superb, and the way you can use the lock on to orient yourself wrt to your target is brilliant, albeit I've suddenly found myself it unrecoverable dives a couple of times.

That ending sequence is epic.

Really looking forward to Ace Combat 6, the demo was fantastic, Blue Dragon looks good too, but nothing, and I mean absolutely NOTHING can compare to Halo 3, this game will blow all others out of the water, it'll just be 1 huge pool, with halo 3 swimming around.
