ello,

haivng a 2000 tuscan with all the usual associated stone chips I popped into the local chips away franchise to see if they could hide some of the bigger chips (range from size of a match head to about 1/2 a 5p coin in area)

they said they couldnt hope to match the colour of the car (as title, crystal topaz, light metalic blue, slightly pearlescent?? pictures on profile)

is this right or did he just think it would be more hasstle than the job was worth?

If thats the case Im guessing a front end respray would also be nigh on impossible with regard to matching the colour for the back end of the car??

any advice greatfully received!

edit: sorry for spelling on subject, im clearly a 'tard!

thanks

Sounds like bs to me..

When you buy that paint - it comes in one formulation .. that's it.

It's not like a red that fades a lot..

Try one of the paint shops that advertise in sprint.

Except I don't think the Chips Away people buy the paint in (although I could be wrong on this), but mix it themselves based on the known formulation. Depending on if they can get the specs for the original, they may be able to match. As with all franchise operations, you are somewhat operator dependant. The one I use is great and managed to do a couple of chips on my rear wing.
