Hey car fans,

Thanks to Xbox LIVE, Nissan, and the folks here at Turn 10, the very first downloadable content for Xbox 360’s acclaimed racer “Forza Motorsport 2” will be available tonight (or tomorrow morning) 8/1 2AM PST. Speed over to Xbox LIVE Marketplace tomorrow morning to download the all new free Nissan car pack featuring three premiere Nissan models: the 2007 Sentra SE-R, Altima, and 350Z.



To celebrate this release, Xbox and Nissan will be hosting several activities for Forza 2 fans in the U.S. focused around these new additions to “Forza Motorsport 2’s” already robust car list. The first of these activities will be a Nissan Sentra SE-R tournament on Xbox LIVE. In addition to the tournament, Nissan and Xbox will also be hosting an in-game customization contest, as fans utilize the incredibly deep livery system of “Forza Motorsport 2” to create unique and stunning paint jobs on their Nissan Sentra SE-Rs. The contest will be judged by a panel comprised of Turn 10 developers and Nissan representatives, as fans vie for the title of ultimate Nissan customizer.



On top of the awesome free car pack from Nissan, we're also offering the famed Peugeot 908 race car for download on Xbox LIVE Marketplace (50 MS points). Coming off a second place finish at the recent 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 908 not only brings yet another top-notch race car to the Forza universe, but it is also the only paintable race car to be included in the game.

Ok, so its not the most exciting news in the world for the first pack, but it is mostly free. And this is only the first set of cars.

And when someone on the official forum moaned about no tracks and having to pay for one car the official responce was as follows....

Pah!
moved on the 29th of June, got broadband back on monday night.
2 weeks is a "best guess" just make sure the present owners/tenants cancel their broadband!

Well save yourself some hassle and don't download them then? They are free and in no way needed or compulsary to complete the game. Why moan?

I will download them purely because they are free. I might even buy the 908 as it is the first R1 car that is paintable, quite fancy giving that a go and have the points to spend.

will the new cars become part of the car collector achievements? I wouldnt expect them to be but you never know. And i'm definately buying the 908!

and here she is. quite wierd how it upshifts at 4.5krpm!

Apparently none of the DLC will become part of the game achievments as they are considered optional content for xbox live users only (so those players who are not full live subscribers would never be able to fully complete)

Blade if you read the press release you will see this is a car pack only. Its in the first post. Maybe me listing the current "known" tracks confused the post a little. Appologies.

The new tracks will be released between now and October along with several other multiple car packs.

Ah yes but if they werent on live to get the new cars then the game wouldnt get patched either, so its possible... but i still cant see it happening!

The 908 was 350'000 Cr for whoever asked :-) Worth every penny too
