Do we book now for 2008?

I've got the forms but no dates or prices.
Do I just send them off with no payment and wait for a bill?
How long do I have to leave it before it's too late to get grandstand seats or a pitch in a chosen campsite, like Arnage for example?
I'm not too concerned because we were happy with the last minute stuff we got this year but would like a grandstand and a pitch for a few tents together this year and binasow we know we're definately going next year, thought we may as well organise it now rather than in April.
Any advice would be welcome and appreciated.

Ideally you'd have booked a couple of months ago, the ACO start taking bookings at the time of the pre-qualifying weekend. It depends which campsite you want, the more popular sites will already be fully booked but i'm sure you'll get in somewhere. Don't know how quickly the site at Arnage will sell out, it was new this year. We've never bothered with Grandstand tickets so can't help you there.
Send in the forms and the ACO will get back to you around the turn of the year with an allocation and a bill, if they don't offer you what you want that's when the fun starts!

I wouldn't bother relying on the ACO. Most popular sites and grandstands will already be gone and by the time the ACO get around to confirming this with you, the agencies would have sold out too.
We always go with TL, as they are more club than agent and as long as you book with them by the end of October, then you will be unlucky not to get your requested stands etc.

I've not been before and really want to go next year, if the tickets have already been sold out, does anyone know of any decent clubs / ticket deals where I can buy?

Not sure what the thread is all about, camp sites selling out at this point is a bit of scare-mongering.
You're choices are pretty easy.....
try to book with ACO for site you want but be prepared to get bumped.
book with Team Langoustine, White Rabbit, Speed Chills who all seem to do ok.
use Just Tickets for more variety on sites.
check out Club Arnage and other websites.
find other ticket agencies who charge a bit more, but have tickets.
You'll normally not see any of these folk advertising until Sep/Oct time at the earliest. Of course, the ACO are different and you can pre-register but I've never used them. I'm going for Just Tickets and Karting Nord again this year and have no worries about getting some space.

Given the potential closure of HA it's likely that Bleu Nord will also now be close to being booked by now as the refugees from HA book MB etc. instead and excess bookings get bumped down to Bleu.
The agents and clubs will come online later in the year and will have their own allocations from the ACO. I think Guy from White Rabbit Racing said he was hoping to put together a similar set up to last year in Beausejour, his prices seemed good this year. Team Lang get good reviews as well.
Be careful with the big agencies as not only are their camping passes inflated in price but they usually request you buy a number of inflated GA tickets per camping pass at the same time.
Once the allocations get announced around Christmas there will be folks with spare allocations to sell, those of us that apply early usually take a bit of a punt as to how many tickets we need and then adjust what we request nearer the time.
There will then be another rush of tickets in the last few weeks before the race as the last minute drop outs do their best to screw travel plans!
The "Sale and Swap" forum on Club Arnage allows people to sell excess tickets at face value, if you look at this years posts you'll see that there are quite a lot of tickets around in the last few weeks.
You should be able to order Beausejour tickets from the ACO now, go to www.lemans.org and follow the ticket options through on last years details, find the booking form, print it out, tippex out 2007, change it to 2008 and fax or email it to the ACO.
You'll get a letter confirming in a few weeks confirming that they have your request but no details of whether they have tickets. You'll then get an "invoice" around Christmas that tells you what they are offering you, you can then choose whether to accept or decline the tickets - you only pay for those that you accept there is no obligation until you say yes. Don't worry too much about General Access tickets at the moment if you don't know how many you might need, they are available on the gate when you arrive.
At least if you've got BSJ passes in your pocket, you can hang out for something "better" if you want to nearer the time and then flog on your BSJ tickets if you find something else.

That advice is absolutely spot on and what I wanted to hear. I wasn't scaremongering about not getting tickets. We did a late one this year and the choice of camping was limited to BSJ and grandstands were simply not available. We're doing it a bit bigger this year with a gang of us and wanted to present better information to the rest of the team than just, "we're going to LaMans, or similar area"
I'll get names and numbers now and sort out where and when later. I did discuss joining up with Guy at WRR whilst in Arnage this year so I'll PM him about it as well.
