This week while getting my car rolling roaded I realised that I am desperate need of a LSD .

My question is , is there much piont in doing a pre stage burn out with a car without a LSD and on soft road tyres ?

The car has a line lock installed so I guess the person who built the car thought there was some point .

if you're on street tyres (true street not mickey t's, hoosiers etc) theres no point doing a burnout as it actually reduces traction

Try 1 run without and 1 run with. The see if it has made a diffrence.

I've found burnouts make a difference with road tyres , dragging all the stones and crap onto the track from the fireup lane and pits is a no-no anyhow , if nothing else a quick spin up to clear the tyres imo

can understand about cleaning the tyres off but a full on burnout is bad for road tyres, they produce less traction when very hot due to different compounds used compared to those in slicks

Liner33's got it. A quick spin to clean the tires off is all you need. If your tires need to get to a certain temp for the compound to work then a longer burnout will be needed to build up some heat.
