Who did you speak to at Elite?
I have been in touch with Dave at Elite on and off for the last two years and am eager to see the final product.
After seeing this thread emerge I gave him a call earlier today and got the lowdown:
They have only supplied two transaxles to date, one to a guy that is using it in a rallycross car with 500ftlbs in front of it and the other has gone to a firm in Germany that will be using it in an Audi engined Ultima ( when they can find the time to build it that is ).
This box looks like it may be just the ticket. It weighs 5kg more than a G50 and is a dog box although Dave assures me that a semi helical type dog gear will be available for road use. It has a Salisbury plate type LSD, an internal oil pump, is sequential and 6 speed. Oh yeah, and this is the best bit, you will be able to spec whatever gear ratios you like and their will be a choice of 6 different crown wheels. The only very small downside I can see is the price; 6.5/7K but, on the scale of things, I do not think that is robbery.

I had a good look at this box at stoneleigh and spoke at length about using one in an Ultima. If I can't get a different CWP for the Getrag then this could be my next port of call. Also they are very local to me being in Stoke. I hope to take the car around to their factory for a chat soon.
