Fiat 500, who's getting one...?

Opened my copy of EVO last night and immediately fell in love with the 500!

White with matt black wheels for me.

Does anybody have any clearer idea on prices/options..?

have a look at www.fiat500.com but be warned you will loose hours of your life in the options configurator.

I have totally fallen for it is well, strange as i don't normally go for small cars! I agree thouhg white with black wheels, but you've got to have the Italian flag stripes down the side like the one tested in todays Autocar.

Spoke to a main dealer yesterday and in spite of the press talking about a delay until summer 08, they've been told nothing other than Jan 08... (sales patter I think!) and really no other info than what's already available.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to be ordering one and also a Abarth, and then chop the former in for the latter.

Since posting last, a couple of other colour combos have coming into the mix:

- White with white/black interior and black wheels
- Rosso with creama/rosso interior and silver wheels
- Titanium with bordeaux/grey interior and black wheels

Thoughts?
I've not actually been able to load the configurator as yet and so I'm only guessing that these combos are available!

Cant wait to get my hands on one to apply a little magic. Need the Abarth for that really. Fortunately those engines lend themselves to upgrading very easily.

Saw one of these in Italy last week, black with some special graphics on it. TBH I didn't think they were around yet, but it was the real thing sitting at a dealers near Lucca. So Jan 08 seems quite plausible.

Played with the configurator last night and came up with "Brutus"

Quite fancy the proposed Abarth version...

Just been to my local dealer and sat in one. It appears to be very well built and made with decent quality materials for the price. There is quite a bit of room inside it as well and the boot is a decent depth the the rake angle of the rear door robs of it some practicality. A great little city car none the less and I can see it giving the Mini a tough time.

Don't be upset just yet. While the comment came from a dealer, I wouldn't be at all surprised if someone had mentioned it to him after reading your thread Only Italians do 'whispers' better than the Chinese

I have fallen for it. Brilliant little car. Was introduced to Fiat500 this evening as well and I can see many hours are going to be lose on there
