LFW - Building Estimator / Quantity Surveyor
Discussion
Having an extension built? Self-build perhaps?? New drive? Garage? Patio?
Whatever!
There's a good chance that you've had an architect do a design for you.
So why not employ a professional to make sure that the project goes to plan financially?
I'm a freelance estimator/QS who can ensure that this is the case.
I can get quotes from builders local to you, ensure that the quotes are all 'on a similar playing field' - apples for apples and all that, advise of who to go to for sub-contracts, materials, plant etc.
Also, another service that i can do is to price up work BEFORE you fork out £1k+ for an architect. Say, you've got a £20k budget for a new garage or extension, you then fork out £1k with an architect, then another few quid for planning aps etc, only to be told by a builder that your project will cost £50k!? Don't bother with the architects costs up front, let me have a look and give some advice and if it's within your limit, THEN speak to an architect.
Sorry if this post sounds a little bit too 'sausage factory' but trying to put it as simply as it is.
Further info, drop me a PM and we can talk.
Cheers!
