I've never seen any GT racing until just now. knockhill highlights on Motors TV.
Now that's motorsport! I stopped watching ! when they stopped overtaking each other, so I've bee without any motorsport fix for years.
The only references I've previously seen to GT are in a few magazines where you get a smal paragraph of roundup. But these have never given me the hint that the series was so exciting to watch!
Does it always get on telly? Even if it be a month after the event, and only highlights? Is there somewhere I can lock to find out when and what channel it might be on?

Occasionally you can find it on the tv. Here is a link to the BRDC 2003 F3/GT website www.f3-gt.com/tv.cfm?section=tv&site=gt&scr_w=1024&scr_h=768 to the actual TV schedule page. As you can see it is not upto date, the schedule for Motors TV is unknown and the channel4 schedule is a lie. Rounds 3&4 were originally scheduled to be shown on Thurs 22nd at about 2:40 in the morning and then they decided to change it.
The motorstv coverage is the channel4 coverage shown at a later date, coverage was good up until the end of 2001. You got a 1 hour programme on a Saturday morning at either 10 or 11am consisting of F3 & GT presented by Amanda Stretton with punditry from Mr Caine & Mr Harvey who at the time were both competing, and a good race commentary. Then they changed it last year the commentary was over the top and frankly not a patch on what it had been, even worse the schedule did not exist. Programmes that were due on at 7.00 or 7.30 AM on a Saturday frequently weren't and instead were placed in the early morning on weekdays with hardly any prior warning.
At least now motorstv have a schedule even if it is generally 3 weeks after the race they do stick to it and also repeat it as well.
Missed the GT on 4 coverage from Silverstone this morning...no probs, look through Radio Times for the early morning repeat on Weds or Thurs and set the video up.
According to R.T. it's not repeated this week Is there anyone out there who knows whether this is a misprint...please tell me it is!

The coverage was very good, except it needs to be on at 11am or 12pm and 1hour would be better, if we want better cars and bigger teams the sponsors need more coverage and exposure for there money, thats whats made the GT's so un-cost effective, and the big temas werent getting enough TV exposure.

Did you think so? I thought that it was great to start off but the later stages of the race were barely covered.
That race needed longer coverage.
I was at silverstone, as I'm sure many of you were, and I was very impressed by Steve Hyde's late charge and also John Hartshorne's (sorry about spelling John!) Drive was really good, yet his name was barely mentioned during the race.
Was the Safety car period even mentioned??
The British GT series is a great championship, so long as you go to the circuits. TV doesn't do it justice.

I believe the SC period was mentioned, will re-watch to see.
You're right, you need to go to the track to see the races, don't rely on the TV for that, but then, TV never has done enduro racing any justice.

Fair enough! Looking back at my post I give the impression that it 100% wasn't, when I was actually asking a real question!
So raf I've only been to Donny and silverstone GTs but I plan to follow them arround the country now my exams are pretty much over.
What is the race format at Combe?
Cos I've heard both 75mins and also 2x 40mins like Knockhill.
Top Fuel, no worries about the SC, I'm not 100% sure myself.
