Great to see S Club went so well,Wish I could have made it but by 10.45am I decided the odds were against me and turned round and went home.
Hows this for a crap day
Up at 5.30 get butties and flask ready,charged camera overnight so alls going well, Bacon sandwich and cup of tea finished off by 7.10, son gets up at 7.15 and offers to move the 2 cars off the drive so I can get the TVR out(at this point I considered checking my lottery ticket from last night)
7.20 get in car start engine, press clutch in gear release clutch and "nothing" Aha same problem as last time,

get trolley jack out , get under car wiggle arm and it springs back after 5 mins wiggling. Go back in house wash hands etc put jack in boot just in case
7.30 car out of garage and loaded, quick check and away to get petrol,at station just before joining M60 at Bredbury Stockport.
7.35ish drive over a speed bum, and hit something under the car, sod it I'm getting late for the meet up at knutsford,I'll check it out then.
7.40ish round the bends at Bredbury all ok but car feels a bit soft at the back end "think" check tyre pressure at garage , 20 seconds later loud bang from the back end lots of squirming, I pull over to find the new 300 mile old rear tyre has a lovely big screw in it and is flat as a witches.
Text to Russ35 to let them know I would have to follow later and also to save them waiting needlessly.
10.00 Tyre centre opens "sorry mate havent got any that size and we cant repair that one"
10.10 go back home and get spare tyre take it back get it fitted
10.30 At last, if I set off now I may get there for 12 noon, give it a bit of wellie towards the motorway and thats when the clamps on the exhaust give up the ghost from the whack they'd had earlier when the screw must have first gone in and reduced the tyre pressure sufficiently for them to hit the speed bump.
10.45 I resign myself to the fact that I am not going to S Club this year.
I was totally miffed this morning, car was called all the names under the sun by 11.15, but now on reflection it was just a chain of events, the clutch bit was my fault its done it before and I should have investigated it then further, the screw could have gone in any cars tyre, and the exhaust clamps just a result of the tyre deflating.
By 5pm we were friends again, but I'm still pi$$ed off that I missed the day.
Good news is I put the holiday off untill tomorrow so Im off for a week fishing etc on the Norfolk Broads (just gotta be carefull not to fall in after todays fiasco) But great to see it all went well, the pics look great and it looks like you all had a good day, hope you all had a safe journey home as well.I WILL get there next year, even if I have to set off a day early.
