Couldnt agree more, was planning on starting to build the new garage this weekend, digging footings in this rain aint gonna be fun.

I was just about to start a topic regarding the very same thing. Anybody been out in the Nob in it today? I've spent most of the time ducking and diving around flooded bits of country road. I'm getting worried that the rain might cause some permanent damage....

Have had a very scary journey back home to my parents this afternoon. Had to drive through some proper flooded areas, water has been gushing across the fields onto the road!

It has been just like those terrible easter floods we had, have seen houses being pumped out with water in some of the villages.

Sorry to hear all this but its your turn. We had it a couple of weeks ago. Our house was ok but the builders have just started work on my sisters. £64k to sort it out . She was insured but there are lots in the poorer parts of town who are not.
The bill for the schools and local infrastructure Hull alone is expected to be in excess of £200m , so far central gov has offered £2.5m

I blame those X5 drivers !
