Missed Opportunity

Missed out on a fantastic opportunity the other day. A posting on the BookaTrack website by a camera manufacturer (number plate recognistion cameras) stated they were looking for a car faster than 130mph to drive around the Millbrook proving ground in Beds flat out so they could test their equipment. Applied for it, but someone in a TVR Tuscan S beat me to it. Would have been nice to try for 180mph+

Offered my services at short notice for when it breaks down

I may well get my chance yet - he's just emailed me:

"You might get your chance. My car has started to ps coolant all over the place. AA will be on the scene any minute. Oh the joys!"

Missed it too, was told sorry I was 5th to reply, wanted to try for 200.

Viper Larry's in with a chance just spoken to him, he needs liability insurance to run though, any idea's ?

The tuscan has sprung a leek and has dropped out

Missed the chance - just can't get insurance in time for Monday - even the specialist Competition Car Insurance need 3 days to broker the policy. A great opportunity missed. Shame, but it's Millbrooks' policy to insist on insurance.
