In some ways I hope that it is not about to start over again. It will be Ground Hog day I am sure.

When will you guys learn.
You can't rag it from cold.
You have to wait for the site to warm up before you cane it, otherwise it breaks wink

I rang on Friday spoke to David Oxley no problem, indeed he rang me back, he intimated things were on the move. Give these guys a chance and we might see some new cars in the near future. I take it we do want to see new cars.

Head down for me now, listen to the doom and gloom merchants.

After browsing through the tvr.co.uk site, I took a quick look at the freshly revamped website of the Swiss TVR importer.

They apparently still offer the possibility to order Sagarises and Tuscans with a 6 to 8 months delay. Nothing new there apart from the fact that the engine specs now mention 6.0 litre V8s given for 427 PS biglaugh
http://www.tvr.ch/tuscan_mk_ii_roadster.html

According to TGE, the Sagaris is supposed to be available soon in a "Jubilee" edition, with a 600 hp, 7.0litre V8

No I don't. I want them to fail and then sell the rights back into the UK. As long as TVR remains where it is we will never see the British Bulldog again.

So, these V8's, Chevy or Ford?
The smaller one seems rather like the GM LS2 (or the newer vwith the other seeming like a cammed GM LS7 (ie upgraded camshaft), have seen RR graphs for 540bhp standard, that quoted power figure is only 200rpm higher.

Only large capacity aluminium Ford V8's I've seen were huge!

Edited to make more sense hehe

If that is truely the case that they will use a generic GM motor i personally think thats a great idea..... chances are that they are possibly going to do this to get around american emissions laws...fair play.....BUT i still hate the thought of this clowns at the helm...as for david oxley the guy is a complete and utter muppet! and cannot understand why anyone would still employ the drip

I'm afraid that I agree absolutely - a TVR not built in Blackpool will never be a true TVR. I dearly hope that NS and his management cronies lose everything, including their houses and the shirts off their backs, just like they tried to do with the workforce.

Of course, if TVR started up again in Blackpool with a new owner who was a real enthusiast, and chose likeminded management, that would be fantastic.

All IMHO, of course.

Dare I get excited, or am I just going to end up dissapointed again?

I have to wonder, if P.Wheeler had done that back in 95/96, instead of going ahead with the AJP + Speed6, which would have proberly meant a lower selling price from new, of the Cerb / Tamora / T350 etc, would the company be in its disolved state now?

We will never know and we will all argue about this for years and years with no firm outcome. However, you can rest assured that you are almost certainly correct. biggrin As much as I love the S6 cars I appreciate that the vast majority of the TVR fan base lies in favour of a big, smelly, red neck V8's.

Stick one of those in a Sag and you'll find enough buyers to keep a small operation going in the UK.

Not all my friend, many would have seen it as a backward step. If however the cars are built there has to be some light of hope.

Would I buy a new TVR even if it were built outside the UK - Yes

Would I buy one with some yank lump - frankly, probably not
