I was just sitting at 70mph on the A12 going towards Chelmsford at approx 6.05pm yesterday (saturday). I was past by a silver Noble driving inexcess of 100mph, not only was this guy driving well over the speed limit, he was also struggling to keep the car under control, the car was constantly twitching as it went round the slight bend in the road. I saw him again near the High Chelmer retail park not 10 mins later. I didn't get his number plate but as a man who has respect for other drivers on the road and keeps the speed on the track rather than the road, I feel this driver was trying to show-off or compensating for something that he has not got!

Own up, if you are on this forum.

Why would someone do that because you have told them too? And how is it going to resolve anything?

I seem to be in a really argumentitive mood recently, I really need to refrain from posting if I don't have anything good to say

Also 100mph in Noble is illegal, but perfectly safe if the conditions allow for it. If you go on to say it was raining with heavy traffic then you'll have a point. Otherwise I can't really see the fuss.

Oh, and I don't think it was me. 100Mph is for fannies.

I suspect he was warming his tyres ready for the fast run.

Sounds like he needs a geo check then.....

Got to hate people that only see roads as a way to get from A to B rather than a playground dedicated to driving pleasure tongue out

It was me It was me...o bugger no it wasnt ...sorry frown

Why were you just sitting at 70 mph ? Surely you should have been driving...much safer.
I cant believe that you didnt have your radar gun with you to give us his exact speed at 6.05pm on saturday upon the specified road...i could have pinpointed him instantaneously for you if you had supplied the full details....i cant stand vagueness and innacuracy.
Of course having never broken a speed limit in your life...ever....i sympathise with your quest to find this driver and teach him advanced car control so that he can drive twitch free.

I have contacted Scooby Doo who assures me they will unmask the Mystey Mad Man for you.Unfortunately their team vehicle is in Quikfit having new brakes and a clutch fitted as apparently Daphne has been driving a bit quickly again..Tut Tut...
Anyway i have directed them (after the arrest)to ensure the culprit contacts you at the Online Scrabble forum where i know you will be waiting to give him a few 10 point 4 letter choice words of your own nono

Now whovever it is cmon..own up ..007 wants to check your not licensed to kill....

Thankyou for your postclapplease dont hesitate to contact me again

Yours sincerely C.C.

P.s i am absolutely NOT a representative of the Noble forum..im sure many of them take this issue very seriously..driving fast is a crime.... punishable by banishment to the Porsche forum frown

Yep sounds like front end geo to me.
If you were 10 mins from High Chelmer retail park then I think I know the bend wink a novice could take that at 140 easily. hehe

Not really an apt post given your name. Maybe Powers, Austin Powers would be better?

Anyhow, I think the previous replies have given an indication of the seriousness of the crime. biggrin

Even if I did have a Granada/Mondeo engined sportscar, I would still drive it around safely and within my limits, which is over the UK speed limit. I do race a very powerful sportscar and I have a mundane road car to get me from A to B. I also have access to and occassionally drive very powerful luxury saloons.
