Hi All

I'm off to the Alps this weekend for a spot of mountain biking and was wonmdering if there are any decent alternatives to the Freeway (and avoiding tolls!) The way I would normally go would be Calais>>Reims>>Dijon>>Lyon but it is such an oh-so-boring road.

thanks

Steve

Depends on which bit of the Alps you are visiting.
Down through France is ok for Western CH.

I usually go Calais, Jabbeke, Brussels, Liege,
Aachen, Koln, Frankfurt, Wurzburg, Nurnburg,
Munich, Rosenheim, Kufstein and then
on from there for Austria.

For West Austria, usually C, J, B, L, A,
K, F, Karlsruhe, Stuttgart, Ulm, Kempten
and so on.

No tolls and plenty of fast roads.
Not boring at all, if a little longer in distance.
