i use a tour company, 3rd year running, because i have to travel virtually the length of the country to get to the south coast then to le mans. (e mail me via profile and will give name). they get entry and camp tickets and travel across the channel, i guess they block book so they make their cut. i have done the sums and it is just as cheap as getting everything yourself.

if you've never been only one word describes le mans: AWESOME!

If your in any kind of car club that sorts things out, the TVRCC is very good from my experiances but I imagine some of the others are just as good try them, if not the likes of Page & Moy, or Airtrack who do a number of different packages, ranging from self drives to flying in to Le Mans Airport
As for when to start planning the TVRCC forms usually hit the streets about October time and if your after the best camping pitches without paying too much of a premium you need to get in quick.
Or you could join the ACO who 'organise' the whole thing

I want to go next year! Does anyone have the dates yet? Then I can book holidays, to make sure I go! Is it always the weekend around 14/15/16th. June?

If I was guessing I'd say it'll be the weekend 12/13th June, but it could be the 19/20th, is booking in October for the following June not enough notice

Booked mid-July 02 and still didn't get tickets for this year!!

I've heard all the tickets basically go to either car clubs or agents - why deal with 10,000 separate bookings when you can sell bulk to multipliers.

In future, we'll go with the TVRCC like this year.

see you all on the dragstrip between Bleu and Maison Blanche on Friday - I'll be the one burning the clutch out of my 911 trying to prove we're not all boring farts (its almost impossible to do rear wheel burnouts in a 911)
