As far as I know, this is a joint meeting that has been put together by regions in Scotland, the North East, Cumbria and Tees Valley. It sounds like a good run out - lets hope we get some decent weather!

I would have loved to come but I will busy that weekend ( and most weekends until september come to that). Anyway, I need to get the engine problems sorted out first.
The run out I sorely missed was the Lindisfarne one. Car was up a hoist with no outriggers or fuel tank at the time.

From the TVRCC NE forum it seems some are meeting up at the George at Chollerford at 11.30-11.45 on Sunday.

Yes Kev and I are neighbours ~ only about 5 miles apart. Small world.
I'll make a big effort to meet up.

I haven't got the precise details from Paul yet. He said he would email everyone this week, so I'm hoping he will suggest a meeting point and time as well as the actual route.

Aha! Thanks Elfit, I'll check out the TVRCC forum again - it's usually pretty quiet in our section on the odd time I've looked in there. Good luck sorting out your car, looking forward to meeting up when you are back on the road.

Hi Graham,

I think Paul was after a rough idea of numbers, mainly just for catering purposes. I'm pretty sure you'd be welcome to just turn up - we need as many S's as possible!

The info that Elfit referred to is on the forum pages of the TVRCC website in the North East Region section. As far as I can tell, this forum is hardly used as Paul generally seems to send group emails out for all the events. However, he has posted on there to say "We're looking to be away from The Wheatsheaf at 11.00am" so I presume that is the plan. No more detail of the route yet.

Hope you can make it mate - is your suspension back together again after last weekend's fun and games?

Hi Geoff,
I will mail Paul and let him know I am going - can you do me a favour please ?? I am out of the office as of this afternoon and all day Friday so won't get any e mails - can you text or call me with the definate meeting time and place - re the suspension, I spent all morning stripping the ball joints only to find that the new parts were wrong then the guy who put the advise on the top ball joint on the MOT turns up and says "what you changing them for theres nothing wrong with them - I just put that on the MOT to be ultra cautious they are good for a couple of years yet" !!!! So I ended up putting the whole thing back together as was and had a 4 wheel alignment done, its better but I am still not entirely happy with it - anyway cut a long story short I almost bought a Chimeara last week but changed my mind as couldn't bring myself to part with the S so have decided to do some more upgrades on it instead shocks and springs being high on the list.

Thats the plan Graham, but as usual i have things to do before I can say for definate...

i have a Gunsens tester on its way so I can put ECU in reset mode and redo my timing and have even bought new HT leads...

hope to get it sorted Friday night when I ge home otherwise I will need to do it on Sunday morning. If I ge it done I will be there - i would like to travel up with you guys but I know where it is and how to get there so might turn up late.

I have your mobiles so will call you on sunday either way.

Hey we finally made it eh ? up at 6 to do the timing (apologies to my neighbours )so at last three S's in a convoy (four at one point... what happened to Mike from Kirby Stephen in his 1994 M reg V8 ? - it was a beut, but he disappeared )

Good to see your car back on the road again mate - great job you've done there. We got caught in some irritating drizzle on the A696, but still made it home sans roof as usual!
