A mate has a Lexus IS200 company car, and is trying to put together a case to give it back because the seats give him backache, has anyone else had any problem with a bad back from Lexus seats or is he just being a big girl

Have had the same problem, but not with Lexus. It can be hellish, and I feel sorry for him.

Assuming he can't reasonably ask for an alternative car, how about altering or changing the seat?

I know two people in the Lexus world who MIGHT be able to help - one in Epsom and one in Hatfield. Are these too far away?

Send me an email if there are complications (due to it being company car, or whatever) !

It is a company car, and they will not let him change seats, or alter the existing one, due to airbags, etc, voiding the warrenty. He's one step away from taking it in for a service with a beaded seat cover on it

Tell him to try this: fold up a bathtowel into an long 18" wide rectangle then roll it up sausage-shape. Stuff the thing just behind his spine, i.e. where the seat back meets the seat cushion. If he can find a small soft cushion (similar size) it will do. Or even a totally clapped out soft pillow. In the unlikely event that this sort of thing helps he can get something smart made up. Worth a try.
