2.9 S fuel line question?

In trying to help with a broken down car......I do not have a car here to reference against, the fuel line from the pump to the engine, working backward,in my minds eye! regulator/with fitting and then a chrome unit connector and a change to plastic pipe with a U bend that bends to the rear of the car...the question is what is next 12-24 inches is there a reducer special to Ford or a TVR fitting?
