Right first things first, this is not to go into the reason why it got pulled........

All i wanted to know, is there any chance of it getting back on its feet, with maybe a strict way to register, IE proper usernames and details in profile, so that people cant log on as anything.

I think it is well missed and i used to enjoy having a good chat on there.

Just curious... what did DWFF give you that PH doesn't?

Also some of the people that used to post on Dragster world don't post on Piston Heads.

We used to enjoy having a good chat as well and miss it but the answer to your question is there any chance of it getting back on its feet is No.

No one misses it more than us... but it is very, very unlikely that the DragsterWorld forums will return. Those of you who know us will know that since closing DragsterWorld we have taken on lots of other responsibilities and thus, even without the political, registration issues etc we simply don't have the time needed to run the forum successfully. Hopefully PistonHeads can fill at least some of the void...

Is that because they are not aware of this forum ?

It could well be. But how do you let them know PistonHeads has a forum?

Word of mouth generally.Look how many folks we've got already, in a relatively short time.

One of the main reasons I mooted a Drag forum here was because I know the mods do very good job and things will never be allowed to escalate.Plus the naming and shaming rules of course.

I dont see why here couldnt replace DW, I know the sites not 100% drag, but this little corner of ph is ours to do as we please.

Thanks for replies, and it was not meant to sound like i was slagging this forum as it wasnt, just that fact that i miss the DW forum. I do think that it needs more drag racers but like people say its only word of mouth.

Luke, your a clever bloke on the PC, and I know Chris Parker is, maybe with some help from others there is always the choice of creating your own forums, I would volounteer to be a moderator for you, and help anyway I could

I'm sure someone will correct me, but isn't the chat room still there?

Why not try and start a monthy/weekly drag race chat night? Possibly a week before a big race meet? Or... probably a better idea would be through the winter when we all (most likely) have a lot more time on our busy hands.

Just a thought!
