Lambda Sensor Connectors and Water Ingress(Tip of The Day)

A few weeks ago I had a problem with the Nob in that it was idling badly and not pulling/hesitating. Anyway, it's running fine now but I'm pretty sure the problem was caused by water ingress and corrosion in the connectors for the lambda sensors. When I opened them up they both had a lot of water in them ( not very visable but give them a tap on something and lots of water came out ). Also, the metal pins and connectors inside were corroded, with like a white paste ( oxidisation and water I would think ). I cleaned the connectors with sand paper and a paper clip, dried the water out with a hair dryer and all seems fine now.
So, my tip of the day is to check the connectors and then wrap some electrical tape round the outside to help keep the water out.

I've had water issues in the cockpit recently - has anybody got a solution to this (other than not driving in the rain
). I noticed the floor of the car directly below the windscreen had a pool of water just sitting there and I found that there are some holes drilled (presumably to let the water out), but these were filled by small stones, creating the pool. Is periodically cleaning out this area the fix or is there a better one?
Also, some of the pipes just behind the cockpit are slightly rusty (guessing the rain has got in between the rear clam and the cockpit as there is no seal). Anybody have any ideas to stop rain/water filtering in through the gap?

If you stand by the rear driver's wheel and look at the engine you will see one connector on a wire which runs between the rear bank of plug coils, located normally between the last two coils. The second connector is on the other side of the V in a similar position, above the AC pump. The connectors are black and about the size of a matchbox, but squarish. If you want I can take a photo and post it up.

I too have had issues with water on the floor after going out in the wet. Talked to the guys at Noble London (Skippy), and one problem is with the underside of the car. Basically the underside consists of sheets of metal rivetted to the chassis. The problem is that the rivets used in construction are not particularly good quality, and are very prone to corrosion and failure. Result is that it is very common for several to corrode and fail causing slight gaps at the edge of the metal plate. Water gets in, and the problem worsens. Water also then soaks into the carpet leaving it soaked in wet weather.

Proper solution really is to get the car up in the air, drill out all the rivets, remove the metal plates, seal round the edges with a good sealant, then replace the metal plates fitting with stainless steel rivets (so they don't corrode in the future). Apparently quite a long, dirty (and if you don't do it yourself - costly) job.
I'd suggest that the first step would be to get the car on a lift and check for failed rivets.
