Hi from a new owner

Hi all, had my first experience of an S today, 100 mile dash back from Cardiff to Cardigan, I can see why people are so passionate about these cars, a real traditional sports car feel, much lighter than Chims and Griffs, great fun round the twisties and you can see out the back with the roof down! There is lots to do on her so I will be lurking around her a lot I suspect. First thing that comes to mind is the throttle pedal, it a long way back from the other and despite beinf 6' 1" I cant press it to the floor while being far back enough to use the brake and clutch. I am well used to TVR long travel pedals but this is somthing else.

Have you by any chance brought the azure blue S1 from the classifieds. If so that is my old car that I owned from 92-95. How is the old girl???

That would be the one, Azure blue, wondered what colour she was, and was that a ford colour? Well she certainly needs some TLC, sorted the throttle pedal, cable needed adjusting, a lot! Body is ok, chassis looks excellent, will be doing a lot of work on the interior. HPI says she has ben two colours, do you know what colour she was originally? Also need to get a new down pipe for the exhaust, struggling to find one through the usual channels.

Don't know anything about another colour. It was just over three years old when I brought it and it was the same blue then.

Glad to hear WOM is fundamentally OK. I really hope you enjoy owning it as much as I did. I never really got over selling it and thats why I brought another 4 years ago.

We are using her for a wedding at the end of July for our wedding business, so will get her all up together and when she will be up for sale again. In the meantime I suspect I will use her as my daily drive, well untill the Chim and the Griff start sulking! We are also looking for a second early (see cheap!) S1/2 for the same wedding if anyones thinking of selling.

I seem to remember Derek getting flamed last time he answered this question for me regarding my Chim, sorry if I took your tone the wrong way
