Was the week at Silverstone good? I'm thinking of that next year if I can get my Company to make any money again.

I have had some excellent instruction over the last few years. I had some to get me to the point where I was safe out on the track by myself.

A Porsche Open race driver who instructed at Castle Combe last month got the fastest driving I have ever done out of me.

So, yes , instruction can be really, really helpful.

Not done it but Jay Shepherd (Tuscan Challenge fame) does this sort of thing, I have his details somewhere if you want me to dig them out?

I would also be interested in any feedback regarding the 5 day Silverstone race school. I am considering it later in the year.

Worth the money?

I would certainly recommend the Silverstone 5 day intensive course, i actually did it some years back when i made the switch from Karts to Cars - and found it to be really helpful.

Money wise, it's quite expensive, but highly worth while.

For you guys looking for race tuition - i actually work as a race instructor at various race schools; including Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Rockingham and Thruxton. So if you would like further information then please do not hesitate to contact me as i'd be happy to help you out....

I ve hooked up with an x racing driver Richard Fores , he lives in my area and have done 4 full days with him in a porsche 944 race spec , caterham superlight and formula ford , his tuition has been superb and i feel so much more confident and smoother, i feel i can push the car alot more on track days safly . Before that i did a day at Silverstone, Driving the elise and formula fords, For the money i found you had hardly any track time 6 laps in the elise. Tuition is highly recommended even if you are experienced .
