Did anyone win on the Carrefour cardboard slot machines?

I know it's a completely random question, but it just crossed my mind!

On the first time we went to Carrefour, we had a massive stack of the cardboard chips. I was gutted not to even win a 1 Euro voucher! On the second time, the queue for the machine was massive. There was a small French boy clutching his mother's stack of chips, so I gave ours to him and wished him good luck.

Surely, someone must have won that free trolley full of shopping!

Yup, we won 3 euros

I was gutted for the guys in front of us who spent 500 euros then spent hours shoving the resultant tokens into the machines and won nothing!

Yes, we won a 1 minute trolley dash around the store and went home with an Audi R10 and some rather tasty brie.

Is that what they are for. I didn't understand that, just thought french people gathered around bright flashing lights in amazement. I think our tokens went in the bin.

They're still running that thing?? Didn't go to Carrefour this year but they had that dodgy looking thing up and running last year!!

My friend's 20 yr old daughter won a Citroen C1 a few months back. The bloody rules of the game are that they keep the carte grise (V5) for one year and so she isn't entitled to sell it straight away. Grrr.
