Most Surreal Moment?

Well for us it was on Sat night between 8-10 when we were at Arnage midway between Arnage & Indi. We were at the fence barrier at the front taking some pics when a gorup of 30or so all in the same t-shirts gathered to our left (upwind) of us. It all went quiet, and then suddenly very dusty and a mini sandstorm came from out left. We turned to see them empting somebodies' ashes from an urn about 3yrds upwind of us at track side. Needless to say we got covered head to toe in the ashes, the camera gear got covered and we all had mouthfulls of 'dust' for ages...
No problem with taking ashes there - just wish they'd warned us 2 mins before so we could move...

For me, it was walking marquee a tent at about 3am Sunday morning and seeing about 5 'ladies' standing outside, accompanied by another 5 gents in tuxedos. It looked like a very civilised garden party, with everyone boozing, smoking and bantering, except for one thing. The 'ladies' in dresses / shirts and heels where infact, also men.
I hope they packed KY.

Sunrise at the dunlop curves and tetre rouge. Its a really odd feeling when you had a couple of hours sleep, getting up at 2am and driving to the circuit in the pitch black silence of the countryside only to find the cars are still there and you are not the only one keen enough to get up. Your friends have been drinking since you went to bed since they are not driving and it shows. I would say I felt indifferent, youre not awake or asleep, just... 'lost'.
Another one was driving back at 7am, I am not sure what was more dangerous, feeling like sleeping at the wheel or the mess my pants would get if I didnt press on!

On the 11.15 ferry from Portsmouth to Caen on Tuesday 12th I was travelling as a group of four blokes with reclining chairs. I woke up on the Wednesday morning and asked the lads how they'd slept...
"Not very well." said one. "The couple on the floor behind us were shagging all the time. He gave her a right good rodding 'an all".

It is in my will that I want some of my ashes thrown out of a sunroof while travelling at speed down the N138 somewhere lets say between Tetre Rouge and Mulsanne No problem with taking ashes there - just wish they'd warned us 2 mins before so we could move...
Mrs thestag was not very impressed but will writing bloke found it quite amusing.
Most surreal moment.........getting my hair cut earlier today at a hair salon by a hottie. Managed to steer the conversation onto cars when she comes out with "yeah I've just got back from Le Mans, the 24 hour race" .
Very surreal, and I was thinking should I bother replying to the "going anywhere on holiday?" question with "just been to Le Mans" as she probably wouldn't have a clue what it was. She immediatly got a lot hotter too.
