I saw some lovely cars on the way down from Calais on Wednesday, but most seemed to be cautious of the speed limits. Except a Typhon and a Sagaris were in a pair - hubby and wife? - and going for it, clearly not fussed about Les Police. I stood no chance with them but we saw them at a fuel stop later and after that they never came past, so I guess that was their one mad blat.

I had a play with a French Clio V6 on the N138, which was class.

On the way back it was excellent. There were a couple of guys in a silver Monaro on the N138 not hanging about, we had a play for a few miles and would have continued were it not for traffic.

On the motorway, a convoy of a Lotus Carlton, Vauxhall Vectra DTM (B10W UA ? as the reg plate), Monaro etc. were all up for it and gunning along in a super-smooth convoy. Those Carltons are fast..!

There were 4 Asian lads in a 51 reg red Evo who were licking along too in what looked like total comfort, great work!

Four UK lads on motorbikes (MV F4 1000, R1, Blade etc.) were having a great time taking on all-comers.

So who did you see and who did you have a 'play' with?

The RS4 and F430 on the M20 going out on Thurs at around 6:30 were a sight to behold. Far, far too fast for the public road in all honesty, especially with a fair few cars around but bloody hell they were really, really shifting...

Didn't really have a race as such but convoyed down empty motorways with a few M3s, a mint original D reg M5, an Audi S3, Vectra V6, and more that I forget, it was the best trip down yet! very little traffic meant very smooth and reasonably fast progress in close formation...

Convoying down to our meet point with Guy in his M3, I realised how nice it is to drive with like-minded people: as we approached a tunnel on the M20, I wound my windows down to better hear his scorpion exhaust, only to see him back off to better boot it, all that without discussing it ahead of time. Great stuff!

Wednesday morning had a bit of fun with a couple of guys in an M Roadster with dodgy plates and what I'm sure is not a standard exhaust, the passenger wearing a multi coloured afro wig on the way to Rouen and in the tunnels around there biggrin

I saw the white Mk1 Escort on the motorway in England so he should be fine.

I gave chase to a couple of Porsches much to the amusement of the rest of my convoy as I was in a silver Mk1 Golf..... as the Porsche blatted past with me in close pursuit! after that we had a blown manifold gasket on the blue escort cab in our group so I sat behind it in case it broke down ( it also was leaking oil from the gearbox )

We had a good run down from Calais on Friday morning with a 360 which sounded fantastic.
Then sat with a Impreza WR untill Rouen. We were on our own for the duration of the N138.frown We did see the 360 again in Grace but have no idea which way he went to get there?
On the way back we sat with a s2000, z4m, rx7 and the fastest moving VW touran (sp) I have ever seen, then the rx7 had to pull over with the hazards on so his convoy stopped with him. We then picked up an RS focus, 3 door cossie, saphire cossie, merc and 3 series up to Calais.
Great fun, the run there and back is always a high point of the weekend, just a shame the N138 was dead on Friday lunch?

We blasted up the N138 to Dieppe on monday. Not a race as such, just a rather fast convoy which included a track prep'd white 306, silver XKR, new red CTR, blue 328 and us in a stickered up silver Galant VR4 estate. T'was great fun.

It was a quiet run there but on the way back we had fun with a S1 Elise running a supercharged Type R lump and a Porsche Cayman (Watching the Elise get pulled over and finding out it was for a small front plate rather than for the speeds we saw him doing creaming the Cayman!)
A nice run blasting back from the ferry with our 2 Anti Lag Evos and my Elise with a R33 Skyline all too keen to spit flame, an all black Clio V6 and another Evo 6

Some good stories but they're thin and far between! Are we a group of all-fart and no shit, fast car drivers?

On the way down Friday afternoon/evening - autoroute south of Rouen.

Blue Focus RS blew us away how fast it was - he was neck and neck with my mate's 996 C2 up to 165mph!

Some Dutch lads in an 80's V8 Merc coupe - it was a barge but they rung every last bhp out of it.....in fact they were dangerous, but looking back it's funny.

It's actually blue but it was covered in so much Beausejour mud that it probably looked black smile

Would the fact that I have no idea what it looked like give you an indication of the sort of speed it was doing?....!

The RS4 was a black or blue avant with a fair deal of stickerage going on.
