Hi All - bit of a random one

could anyone recommend a nice hotel in the Peak District?

we'll be camping for a few days north of Buxton & Bakewell beforehand - so after somewhere nice and luxurious to chill for the final couple of days of the week.

the big one in the center of Buxton.....cant remember its name, but we stayed there a couple of years ago and it was pretty good.

I think it was the Royal or something like that.

just googled it and it was the Palace.

Stayed in Hayfield one Christmas. Both the Royal & Kinder Lodge serve great ale & offer accommodation (we stayed at the Royal) smile

The Bentley Drivers Club has an annual weekend at the Izaak Walton Hotel, right next to Dovedale. Not stayed there myself, but have been for lunches and dinners.

Hassop Hall is lovely and I would also suggest Riber Hall as worth a look.
