hi guys anyone know were i can get my hands on new gaskets for the plenum chamber and the air flow for my S3?

I'd try a ford dealer. If they still have them can't be that expensive.

If your Ford dealers are anything like mine in Norfolk then they can't help these days with these old engines.

He doesn't list the plenum chamber gasket but seems very helpful.

Other than that all I can suggest is ebay. There is a company selling complete head gasket sets that includes the plenum gasket. Cost is £40 delivered which is cheaper than any motor factor can get them in my area.

Yep agree with Jed, I bought a complete head gasket set for £40-ish on ebay when I was replacing my exhausts - used the exhaust manifold gaskets and kept the rest for that "rainy day" when your local Ford dealer is out of stock (it rains a lot here so you're lucky if they ever have anything).

If you're feeling brave and/or are desperate enough, you could try making a gasket out of thick paper (or thin card), it should work (my idle speed control valve has had a business card as a gasket for about 3 years now).

On the subject of helpful Ford Dealers, Bridgend Ford who have been excellent since I obtained my S3c 2 months ago

Its Worth noting that at most steam fairs/traction engine rallies etc you can buy sheets of gasket material quite cheap, I bought a sheet years ago and looking at the prices quoted now for gaskets I must have saved a hell of a lot of money, not only that but you always seem to need them on sunday mornings when everywhere is closed.
You can also pick up gasket punches for punching the holes out for about £1- £3 each, another useful piece of kit to have in your drawer.
